Christa is Our New Sista.
The circle is now complete and now we can finish taking over the entire world and slowly conquer the universe. Ok well maybe not the universe but at least the "creative world" as we know it. Enough hype... meet Christa. She's the newest member to the stakkeddesigns team. Christa just began her internship with us and we couldn't be more excited. There's no better sense of accomplishment than to know you are building a really strong team and we think Christa will be the missing link we've been waiting for. Christa just graduated from Georgia College & State University with a degree in Mass Communication and a focus in Advertising/Marketing. Therefore, her focus will be in graphic design, marketing, advertising, and new business development.
Being the small firm that we are, it's always been hard to fill all of the shoes required to grow the business effectively. Fortunately for us, Christa is lacing up her shoes and is ready to race. I'm pretty sure this means I'll be able to start sleeping again. For more information about Christa, you can check out her Twitter page or look her up on Facebook. Welcome to the fam, Christa.

Green Water. Clean Water.
After being approached by an international, high-end water-fixture manufacturer looking to establish a new brand and product packaging for their line, we knew we had a great opportunity to show off our unique design style and effective approach to worldwide markets. Their new product line, "cleanFLO", is one of the first lines that utilizes eco-friendly parts in their faucets. Today's standard faucet is made with lead, which then is entered into the body through running water. Thanks to all-new technology, cleanFLO faucets are 100% lead-free and are made from lightweight and durable materials. They needed a brand that could resonate worldwide, as well as unique product packaging for the new family of products.
The new brand typography represents a fresh, modern approach to the faucet/fixture industry. Utilizing a sans-serif font and a soft color palette provided the identity with a unique and professional appeal. The logo mark above the lettering represents a forward-motion of both water, as well as symbolizing a whole new direction for the business (forward thinking). This idenitty was chosen amongst 2 other styles and I think it will do well carrying forward with other products in development. Below is a mock-up of the product packaging that we provided to them. Based on their positive feedback and approval of the design, we have begun the actual packaging template design and development. Keep your eye out for them in most retail stores within the next year!

ATTENNNN...TION! Welcome to Boot Camp!
Are you ready to be all you can be? If not, I'm sure Dean and Angela Rosson, the owners of Atlanta-based Boot Camp 360, could change that in an instant! Referred from a mutual friend, Mr. and Mrs. Rosson approached us in need of a complete website redesign. They wanted to go further than having just a cool-looking website; their mission was to use the website as a tool to reach out to people and provide them an opportunity to learn about the company, register for classes, and take the next step into becoming fit and healthy - the FUN way! The site combines both military-inspired and vibrant, primary color schemes. The neutral backgrounds allow for the bright colors to pop and the layout is clean and easy to navigate through.
The branding/visual element of their company is to show the serious "boot camp" side of them with the deep greens and tans, but realize their target market is mostly women. Therefore, it had to be pleasing to the eye. The site is still in development at this stage, but it's piecing together quite well and the end result will really allow the Rossons to expand to other markets and reach out to hundreds, and even thousands of other people. What's great is that the Rossons have created a fun and welcoming workout environment where you can meet others who want to achieve the same results as you. For more information about Boot Camp 360, check out their website or jump to the registration page if you think you're up for the challenge!

Branding a "Trademark"
When Cory Regan, of Trademark Renovations, contacted us for brand development and stationary/collateral design for his renovation business, we knew his project was going to be unique. This is because Mr. Regan utilizes "green" builing products and other Earth-friendly materials to handle projects from remodeling, all the way to new construction. We wanted to push a brand that would exemplify the meaning of "building green".
In efforts to promote the new look and feel of the business, presentation folders, sell sheets, business cards, and a direct mail campain were all put in place. The next phase in the birth of the new identity will be the website. Mr. Regan has plans to begin development of that within the coming weeks. Make sure to check out our portfolio page and see the complimentary elements to the new brand.

A "Heavenly" Photo Shoot
Nothing grabs peoples attention on a website better than good imagery. We set up a photo shoot for Heavenly Dove Christian Books " Gifts in efforts to show visitors (both in person and on the web) what their atmosphere is like and more importantly, what kind of products they have available. With a knowledgeable and friendly staff, we felt right at home as we prepared the shoot. Customers were a little confused as to what was going on but after a few quick explanations, we were patted on the back for helping to promote such a wonderful business. Here are a few shots that have been processed:
We are all really excited to launch their website and hope you will take a look once it's up. The targeted date is 4.18.08! Also, be sure to stop by their store for all of your faith-based, inspirational, and family needs by calling them at 770.844.9878

A Green Approach to Fine Cabinetry
Timber Mountain contacted us in efforts to assist in promoting a "green" product line for their business. Timber Mountain is a fine cabinetry manufacturer and distributor providing custom-made built-ins for various home applications. Their new line, "EcoCraft Cabinetry", needed a clean, contemporary, and recognizable brand that not only shows their expanded capabilities, but shows customers their need to improve our environmental conditions. In a world filled with booming eco-friendly businesses, the new product line will help set them apart from their competition by offering customers hand-made furniture that is safe for their living environment, eco-friendly, and made with the finest sustainable products available.
Along with the new brand, an ad campaign was put in place to promote brand awareness for EcoCraft Cabinetry. Check out the "Print Design" section on our portfolio page to view this project. Extreme Makeover: stakked Edition
No... ABC hasn't been to our office, however we did find out some pretty cool news surrounding the always-inspirational show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Team leader, Ty Pennington lived most of his youth in Georgia and got his undergraduate in graphic design. For those of you who watch the show, you can definitely see his art/design background shine through - week by week. Well, moving on...
So yes... this weekend was spent re-designing and developing the new site. It's a completely new approach from the old one but we feel it flows a lot better and provides better use of all the PANTONE colors associated with the brand. We hope you like the look and feel of it and if you have any questions or comments, please send me an email and I'll do my best to respond within 24 hours. Happy Spring everybody!
